Bus Stop at The Old Lodge Hotel

Absolutely fleeced! Paid £216 for a “feature room” that had no feature. When we booked online, we saw the photos that showed stunning rooms with massive bathrooms, they also came with baths in the bedroom and flat screen tv. We were welcomed with this tired, tatty room. Burnt carpets, wallpaper peeling off the wall, murky windows, the list goes on. My wife spoke with reception to see what could be done, we were offered a different room which was “the smallest room in the hotel”. We agreed to this room, however when we entered, to our shock, this room was already occupied. We spoke with reception once again to be told that the only other room available was this original shabby feature mess. ROOM 2 AVOID! To charge £216 for a room like this is scandalous and had we been closer, we would have driven home. Absolutely disgusted and appalled with the whole experience and will most definitely NOT be back again. Avoid at all costs.
