A perfect birthday lunch at the Goodmanham Arms today. It was our first time here and it was wonderful. The atmosphere, food and staff were all brilliant. We are already planning our next visit. A special thank you to Vito for the candle on my dessert ❤️
We celebrated a birthday at The Goodmanham Arms with a Sunday roast, and it couldn’t have been better. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect place for a special occasion. The Sunday roast was outstanding – beautifully cooked, generous portions, and everything you’d hope for from a proper roast. The meat was tender, the vegetables were fresh and full of flavour, and the Yorkshire puddings were spot on. It was clear a lot of care had gone into every plate. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely, helping to make the birthday feel extra special without being over the top. Nothing felt rushed, and we were able to really enjoy the occasion together. A fantastic pub with excellent food, great service, and a warm, celebratory atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back – highly recommended for both Sunday lunch and special celebrations.
I cannot recommend this pub enough! Ive told so many people to go here. Absolutely stunning traditional pub, the staff are professional and so polite, the beer was superb at a great price and the Sunday dinner was second to none! We called in here without a reservation on a busy Sunday, they couldn't get us sat inside which was understandable so we sat outside under a heater. All the staff were lovely, the beer was very well looked after and far cheaper than most good pubs. I had the chicken Sunday dinner and it was great, fresh greens and the portion was honestly too much but you can't complain at that.. We definitely will be back!
Always go here for mums birthdays. Such a warm welcome by Vito the owner and the atmosphere is so cozy with the lit fires and oldy worldy pub vibes. We had 3 rib eye steaks with the best chips you could wish for. Lovely treat in a really lovely pub.
Lovely pub with a good range of traditional beers with lots of hand pulled bitters. First time eating here and it was very good, worth the wait for the food, burger was fantastic and the chicken one of the tastiest in a long time. Chips slightly undercooked but still ate most of them!
