We booked an event upstairs so I’ve automatically given them 5 starts for the food cause genuinely they’ve been amazing. Even Sabrina who’s been helping out behind the scenes not getting the attention she’s helped them two Bartenders up to with being full stocked. I work behind bar and I love seeing the chemistry that Louie and max have.. Plz give them this praise they’ve made an 18 year old very happy: Lots of love From the Greens and all attending Wish you a merry Christmas and a positive new year xx
Bought 3 coffees today and only got one loyalty stamp. Was then told "this is what we do now" and it is per order not per coffee. If you are going to penny pinch like this then I'd rather you just do away with the cards all together. The food is genuinely great and not too expensive, but decisions like this put me off visiting. I appreciate it was busy today but some of the staff were kind of rude to the point that we probably won't return anytime soon, which is a shame. Reply: I appreciate that this sounds like it's out of your control - but please know that this makes your businesses seem like it's the one that's cheaping out. I have used these cards at cafes all over the country and this is a first! If it were me I would be going back to whoever it is controlling this with feedback. Your comments about the staff not being rude that day are great, but that does not change our experience 🤷♂️.
We had an amazing time at Gelato for their Greek night! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. We loved the cozy little booth, which made it feel like the perfect spot for a relaxed, romantic date night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a flavorful experience and a welcoming atmosphere!
Finally Market Weighton has a café with originality, flair and Sunday opening. The Gelato Lounge has a very welcoming atmosphere and style. The upstairs has several sofa and table arrangements and is very informal and kid friendly, without losing a sense of Alpine style. A server of Illy coffee and a good one at that. The Americano was spot on and the price per cup is standard cafe prices. The range of ice creams was a big hit for kids and bigger kids. There is a take out out service for coffee, ice cream and cakes etc. For those in a hurry or in walking/cycling gear, there are window stools. I understand there will be outside seating in the spring/summer. This will accommodate dog owners, dogs are not allowed inside. There is a great feeling that all are welcome. For great ice cream, coffee and cakes, give it a go. The kids will love it.
Great cafe! It would be a great place to do some work if you WFH during the weekdays, lots of room, lots of plugs and it’s super quiet in the day time. Unfortunately they have no wifi! If they got wifi, this business could definitely capitalise on the WFH population in rural areas. Shame!
