Genix Healthcare Dental Clinic (Market Weighton)

Dodgy and corrupt dentist. Avoid like the plague if you want to avoid a health emergency. Tooth was broken in half with an abscess, I had root canal treatment booked in for it to be cancelled when I arrived due to their "computer systems being down." They rescheduled the appt so I arrived 2 weeks later to be told on the door that my appt is cancelled again due to a member of the public in the street outside having a health emergency. Appt was pushed back by another 2 weeks. By this point my appt was a month overdue (due to no fault of my own) the tooth had become extremely infected in the month they had pushed back my appt I was in excruciating agony at work and it had become an emergency. I rang them up to explain the situation and they charged me £80 to be booked in next day for an emergency appt excluding treatment costs. Staff member on phone was extremely rude and hostile, unwilling to make any exceptions even though it was the practices fault. When I arrived at my emergency appt they said it will be £200 to remove the tooth or £5000 to save it. I had the tooth removed and thankfully managed to get access to an NHS dentist at another practice who told me that it was physically impossible that saving that tooth would have cost £5000 and the NHS dentist advised that they had attempted to scam me and I should not go back to this practice under any circumstances. Extremely corrupt dental practice, avoid like the plague.

Totally recommend 💯 They have an easy appointment system, and they were flexible to reschedule me when needed. I have been with them for a year now and every visit the clinic was clean, staff were super friendly and helpful. The checkups/services I had were informative and the dentists always made sure they answered all my questions. My last visit I noticed they accepted an emergency booking for a kid which was a very nice gesture. The look on the mother’s face when they accepted a last minute booking said it all. Thanks.

Everyone who works for Genix is very helpful and professional. However each time I have an appointment I see someone different, there is no continuity. The service is good but differs from person to person. This time it was a quick in out, last time the person I saw not only checked my teeth but did a quick clean on a couple of teeth that required it as part of the service. So I was a little disappointed this time as there was a noticeable difference in the experience.

I love the denstist they are amazing i rang thurs for wobbly tooth booked in for today they removed my tooth so quick i didnt even know they did it i was really anxious because of bad expericnec with a previous dentist. Amazing place so easy and quick thabkyou so much pain free now thankyou

Lovely friendly dentist. She talked my son through each step and even took the time to teach my younger son about his teeth. Excellent service. Thank you
