What is Opti-Turmeric®? Turmeric is most commonly known as the main spice used in curry powders to give them their taste and colour. However, the root of the turmeric plant contains ‘curcuminoids’ which have been widely used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine, with a long history of traditional use in India and China. It’s these curcuminoids that have been of significant interest in recent sports nutrition research. Opti−Turmeric® contains 500 mg liquid curcumin and 20 mg vitamin C to support your immune and bone health as well as the normal function and formation of cartilage, which is essential for healthy joints. Standard curcuminoids (the active ingredient in turmeric) aren't water soluble and are therefore very poorly absorbed by our bodies.
