This Abig Direct Drive Printing Press Is Designed For Both Relief And Intaglio Printing. The Sturdy Frame Is Made From Cast Aluminium And The Top And Bottom Rollers Are Both 80mm Diameter Steel. Adjustable Pressure Can Be Applied Evenly To The Upper Roller From Each End, And The Top Roller Can Be Lifted To A Clearance Of 24mm To Allow For Thicker Relief Plates. Driven By A Four Spoke Handwheel Directly Onto The Bottom Roller. Each Press Comes With A Printing Plate/bed Made From 2.5mm Zinc-plated Steel Screwed To Plywood A Base That Moves Accurately Through The Press On Guided Rollers. This Is A Friction Driven Press – If Using With Lino Or Any Plate That Is More Than 1mm Thick It Is Helpful To Have Runners (lengths Of Lino Or Wood The Same Height), To Ensure Even Pressure And Assist The Bed To Engage. These Presses Are Constantly Developed, And From Time To Time, Engineering Improvements Are Made. The Presses Can Be Easily Upgraded With An Extra Available Planetary Reduction Gear Unit.
