Son-Kul Lake is a stunning alpine lake located at an altitude of 3,016 meters in the heart of Kyrgyzstan. During summer, nomadic herders bring their livestock here to graze, living in traditional yurts that dot the lakeshore. The lake freezes completely from November to May, creating a dramatic, icy landscape.
