Marshalls Garden Blackberry 'Chester Thornless' - Black

Chester Thornless blackberry produces heavy crops of very sweet, black berries with excellent flavour, ideal for eating fresh or using in puddings, pies and jams. This late-season variety is ready from mid-August and crops into the first frosts. Thornless canes make harvesting easy, while hardy, disease-resistant plants tolerate heavy soils. Perennial canes reach 1.5-2.5m and suit full sun in raised beds, small gardens or vegetable plots in acid to neutral soil.
