Tracing the History of Hiroshima with a Bombed Train

Special visitors will be allowed to enter the Senda garage to see the garage and the A-bombed train, which was affected by the atomic bombing. You can take pictures of the A-bombed train in the garage. We will charter an A-bombed train and travel to the Fukuro-machi stop. During the trip, we will show you the reality of the atomic bombing that occurred along the street. For A-bombed trees, we will show you “camphor tree” in the precincts of Shirakamisha Shrine and “aogiri” in Peace Memorial Park. The VR experience will take you back in time through a tour of the Peace Memorial Park, with a recreation of VR based on historical facts such as the testimonies of A-bomb survivors and photos from the past. Through VR, visitors will experience the cityscape of Hiroshima before the atomic bombing, “that day” when the city was burned to the ground, and the path from there to the present day.
