As a collection of International Observers remixes, Touched collates more than 15 years of studio craftsmanship into a single album, bringing together old favourites, hardtofind obscurities, and a handful of previously unreleased gems.International Observers Tom Bailey has enjoyed an illustrious career. In addition to his work with the pop trio Thompson Twins and the ambientdance duo Babble, he has contributed keyboard performances to artists including Foreigner, Grace Jones, and Debbie Harry, while also creating the Indian fusion project Holiwater Band.Reflecting this rich musical history, Touched spans a diverse range of styles and collaborators, from platinumselling acts such as Bic Runga and Stellar to the underground electronica of Pitch Black and Warp Technique. The collection also features remixes for modern reggae stars The Black Seeds, globetrotting innovators Bombay Dub Orchestra and Minimal Compact, and even includes a remix of his son Jacksons acclaimed project Tapes, which has been championed by Thom Yorke, among others.A testament to Baileys long association with New Zealand, more than half of the tracks originate there, with several making their first appearance outside the country on this release.
