Originally released in 1992 under the title A, a version of the original album expanded to include various bonus tracks, entitled The Answer, was released three years later. Andy Scott once again succeeded in putting together a topclass lineup, consisting of Mal McNulty Slade, Bodo Schopf EloyMSG and Steve Mann MSGLionheart. With The Answer, Sweet managed to reinvent themselves without losing sight of their roots. The songs feature timeless hard rock with metal influences, yet always remain unmistakably Sweet.
