In Order To Maintain Optimum Colour Strength, We Don't Use Extenders Or Fillers.After Mixing, The Pigments And Oils Are Passed Through Water-cooled Mills – These Are Made Of Stone Or Steel, According To Pigment Type. We Grind Our Colours As Many Times As Is Needed To Release The Full ‘colour Potential’. Some Pigments Like Ultramarine Only Need Gentle Milling, Whereas Coarser Earth Pigments Must Undergo A Lengthier Process On The Mill To Achieve Optimum Dispersion.The Intense Colour Saturation And Purity Of This Range Is Achieved By High Pigment Loading Coupled With Our Traditional Production Process. We Work To Ensure Our Colours Have The Maximum Lightfastness That Is Possible For Each Pigment - The Majority Are Rated ASTM 1 (Excellent).We Don't Use Drying Modifiers To Even Out Drying Times And So You Will Find Some Variation Across The Range Reflecting The Natural Drying Characteristics Of Each Pigment. MEK And MEKO Are Not Used In Any Jackson’s Oil Paints.
