Liquitex Satin Varnish Is A 100% Acrylic Polymer Varnish That Protects Against UV Damage And Resists Dirt Retention. The Varnish Dries To A Transparent, Satin Acrylic Layer Which Is Breathable And Permanent. It Increases Brightness And Colour Saturation And Dries To A Non-tacky, Hard, Flexible Surface. Suitable For Any Acrylic Painted Surface Such As Canvas, Paper, Wood, Stone, And Plexiglass. Once Dry, It Is Archival, Non-yellowing, And Water-resistant. How To Use: Apply As A Final Varnish Over Dry Acrylic Paint. Varnish Surface And Environment Must Be Clean, Dry, And Dust Free. Acrylic Paintings Must Be Completely Dried And Cured For A Minimum 48-72 Hours Before Varnishing. Stir Gently Before Use. Do Not Thin With Water, Shake, Or Vigorously Over-brush As This Can Result In Surface Bubbles And A Foggy Look When Dry. Apply Using Long, Even Strokes, Covering The Surface Top To Bottom While Moving From One Side To The Other. Don’t Apply With A Roller Or Sponge Brush. Apply 1-2 Thin Coats, Allowing At Least Three Hours Dry Time Between Coats. If You Require More Than Two Layers, First Use Gloss Varnish As A Base Layer, Then Apply Satin Varnish As Your Top Coat. Caution: Acrylic Paints And Mediums Become Increasingly Brittle In Cold Weather. Do Not Apply Below 60 Degrees. Thinning: Do Not Thin, As It Will Weaken The Varnish Film And Adhesion.
