Kuretake Sumi ink is a very opaque black ink made using a traditional Japanese recipe with the same high quality products that are used in sumi ink sticks. The professional level, water-based ink dries relatively slowly and is smudge proof after it is dry even if you go over it using alcohol markers or washes of water. These bottles provide you with a convenient, clean and economical alternative to standard sumi ink sticks. This makes them perfect for manga, drawing, calligraphy and illustration. They are completely lightfast and can be used with either brushes or dip pens but it is not suitable for use with fountain pens. Kuretake Sumi ink is available in both 60ml and 180ml bottles.
