Daniel Smith Extra Fine watercolours were released in 1993 and are among the most popular watercolours used by artists across the world.The Primatek range are made from ground materials and often made with semi precious stones;- Sodalite: sourced from Greenland and the sides of Mount Vesuvius, is a rare component of Lapis Lazuli. - Serpentine: Serpentine Genuine is a soft dark green made from an Australian serpentine variety of soft-stone known as stichtite. This semi-transparent, granulating paint is a wonderful addition to a landscape painter or botanical artist's palette. - Rhodonite: Rhodonite Genuine is a rose pink ground from jewel-quality rhodonite. This product with its soft, transparent glow is ideal for portraits and landscapes alike. - Piemontite Genuine is a deep amethyst colour in masstone and is produced from piemontite found in the hills of Italy. - Mayan Blue: Mayan Blue Genuine is a gorgeous green-tinged indigo. This pigment is exceptionally lightfast and versatile. This pigment is named after the Mayan people that adorned their murals with this colour. Mayan Blueis a new formula is based on ancient Mayan chemistry, but modernised to give a metal-free and eco-friendly paint. - Jadeite: Jadeite Genuine is a deep, dark-green that can be softened to the palest jade wash with the addition of water. This product is made using jadeite variety of jade as opposed to the nephrite form.- Hematite: Hematite Genuine is a rugged violet brown colour. Hematite stones are milled to a fine pigment to create this stunning watercolour. - Green Apatite: Green Apatite Genuine is a dark, almost brown, olive green in masstone - Amazonite: The precious mineral pigment contained in this paint is sourced from Brazil and named after the Amazon river.��
