Jackson's : Extra Offset Crank Painting Knife : No.20

Jackson's Extra Offset Crank Knives Are A Range Of Palette And Painting Knives Made From Stainless Steel With Black Wooden Handles. Compared To Our Old Range Of Black Handled Painting Knives, These Knives Have Longer Shanks, A More Flexible Blade, And A Larger ‘offset’. The Offset Is The Angle Between The Flat Of The Blade And The Handle. When The Bottom Of The Blade Is Held Flat On A Table, The Handle Of A Knife With A Large Offset Will Point Higher In The Air Than A Knife With A Small Offset. A Reasonable Offset Is Desirable In A Painting Knife Because It Stops The Artist’s Knuckles Coming Into Contact With The Wet Surface Of The Canvas. The Range Also Includes Two Palette Knives Which Have Long, Straight Blades Which Continue The Line Of The Handle (i.e. With No Offset At All). This Is A No.20 Painting Knife. The Blade Measures 5mm At The Tip, 30mm At Its Widest Point, And Has A Total Length Of 80mm. The Handle Measures 100mm In Length With A Diameter Of 12mm.
