Ribbon cutting tools are long double-ended tools with metal ribbon 'strip' ends that have ground cutting edges. Ribbon tools are named this as they are made out of flattened metal ribbons with sharpened edges. They are typically used to mainly trim down the bases of thrown pots, bt also to hollow out handmade shapes, especially sculptures.
