Victory Models HM Bomb Vessel Granado Wooden Model Ship KitLaunched on the 22nd of June 1742 to augment the fleet of bomb vessels during the war of the Austrian succession, the Granado was a vessel with exceptionally fine lines, originally intended as a Sloop with the task of policing merchant traffic off the French coast and intercepting smugglers and pirates off the east coast of Britain, she was converted into a bomb vessel in 1756.The Granado performed admirably in her new role and was victorious in several battles.She was fitted with two 13 inch mortars, 4-pounder carriage and anti personnel swivel guns. Scale: 1:64. Length: 800mm. Height: 600mm. Width: 278mm. The original plans of the vessel still exist , and it is these plans the kit is based upon. The Granado kit has been designed to be as accurate and as detailed as possible. Kit contents include all laser cut wood parts in both birch ply and walnut, detailed brass photo etched parts, cast decoration and very detailed plans and instructions in english.
