Mantua Models 1/50 Scale Pinta Model Kit

The “Pinta” together with the Nina and the Santa Maria, formed the fleet for the voyage of discovery led by Christopher Columbus. She was originally lateen rigged with one mast square rigged (caravela redonda) but was refitted just 10 days into the expedition leaving just the rear mast lateen rigged.  A plank on frame construction, the kit contains:- Building plans with general details, English instructions, lost wax brass castings, walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, etched brass details, rigging cord, sailcloth and silk flag.
