Ingredients Usage How to use Neocate Junior Powder Unflavoured 400g The quantity of feed and the dilution of Neocate Junior should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, body weight, and medical condition of patient. One level scoop provides 7.3g of powder. The recommended feed concentration is 21.1% w/v (1kcal/ml) to achieve this, add one level scoop of powder (7.3g) to every 30ml of water. Preparing Neocate Junior: Wash your hands and clean preparation area. Use clean equipment to prepare the feed. Always use the scoop provided in the tin. Measure the required amount of warm or cool water into a container. Please note: Neocate Junior is best served chilled. Add the prescribed number of scoops of Neocate Junior into the water. Cover and shake or whisk until the powder has been dissolved. Once prepared, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours. Any formula remaining in the container after one hour of feeding should be discarded. Shake or stir the feed immediately before serving. Caution: Do not boil prepared formula. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the dietary management of proven whole protein allergy, short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption and other gastrointestinal disorders where an amino acid diet is recommended, for children from 1 year onwards. Neocate Junior is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition from 1-10 years, or as a supplement to the diet from 1 year onwards. Serum levels of micronutrients, particularly phosphorus, should be routinely monitored by clinicians when Neocate is used as a primary or sole source of nutrition for patients with complex systemic disease involving multiple diagnoses and intestinal disease, especially in combination with tube feeding and/or a history of prematurity. Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age. 18 months. Best before date: see individual packaging. Store in a cool, dry place (5-25C) and away from direct sunlight.
