The first bags were created by our ancient ancestors from animal hide or woven plant fibres and probably used for collecting and storing of small foodstuffs such as berries and nuts. We now have a much wider range of materials to make bags from but the basic design and purpose of bags has not really changed. These clear plastic bags available in a wide range of sizes are ideal for storing small items like screws or beads they can also be used to keep small components safe and clean prior to assembly being clear the contents are easily visible and the bags can be easily sealed using a bag neck sealer heat sealer or tying tool. They can also be used for packaging and dispatching goods to keep items clean and fresh in transit. Plastic thickness is measured in microns. These bags are available in light and medium weights. The light weight and thinnest polythene bags we offer are 25 microns and the medium-weight are 62.5 microns. These bags are available in a wide range of sizes so you can decide on the best size for you based on the items you intend to pack into them. The smallest polythene bags we supply at ESE Direct measure 10.2 x 15.2cm with the largest dimensions being 50.8cm x 76.2cm. The largest bags are only available in the thicker medium weight due to the strength required.
