At the heart of this set are two BP 18 TBX 8 ASI battery packs, each rated at 8.0 Ah. Tabless cell technology reduces internal resistance, generating less heat during use — which not only extends battery service life but also means batteries can be returned to charge immediately after use without a cool-down period. Charging is handled by the SCA 16 AIRSTREAM rapid charger, which uses active air cooling before and during the charging process to bring each battery back to full capacity in approximately 25 minutes. This makes the set well-suited to demanding site environments where downtime between charges needs to be kept to a minimum. Both battery packs feature Bluetooth® connectivity, enabling integration with the Festool app for detailed charge status monitoring, temperature readings, and charge cycle data.
