Marshalls Garden Pinstripe Aubergine - Compact Practically Spine-Free, White-Striped Fruit, 8 Seeds - Green

Aubergine Pinstripe is a compact, practically spine-free variety that produces a heavy crop of deep purple fruits liberally striped with white. Ideal for a sunny patio pot or a greenhouse, plants flower attractively and crop over a long period from summer into early autumn. Sow indoors February–May: use clean 9cm (3½in) pots or module trays of firm, pre-watered compost, cover seed with 1cm (½in) vermiculite or sieved compost, keep at 21–24°C (70–75°F) and consistently moist. Grow on at 16–18°C (60–65°F) until late May–June, then plant out into a 45cm (18in) patio pot or grow bag and place in a cold greenhouse or a sunny sheltered spot once frost risk has passed. Harvest August–October. Feed regularly, increase watering as fruit develops and tie stems to supports if needed.
