With these enjoyable formalities over, it's time to get going! You'll visit Hwange National Park, which is one of the best places to see wildlife anywhere in southern Africa. It's a massive park with a good mix of quieter trails and excellent safari infrastructure. The eastern areas of the park became famous as the former home of Cecil the lion, and it remains a fantastic place to see predators, the Big Five, and lots of other wildlife. The park is one of very few places where lions and elephants do battle. Hwange is in Zimbabwe's west, alongside the border with Botswana.
