Marshalls Garden Courgette Seeds Eight Ball - Compact Round Variety for Pots and Small Gardens - Green

Courgette ‘Eight Ball’ from Marshalls Garden is a compact, non-sprawling variety that produces round green fruits with excellent flavour and texture. Ideal for pots, patios and small gardens, it yields plenty of snooker-ball-sized courgettes that are best picked when about 10 cm (4 in) across. Sow indoors April–May 1 cm (1/2 in) deep in warm compost at 21°C (70°F) or sow outdoors May–June in the final position; plant out in June, spacing 90 cm (36 in) apart after hardening off. Keep soil moist, water regularly and feed with a liquid fertiliser once fruits start to swell. Extremely rarely, courgettes may produce very bitter fruit that can cause stomach upset; test one fruit per plant by tasting a small cut surface and discard any bitter fruits.
