Transdev in Lancashire

Since taking over the Blazefield Group in 2006, the French-based Transdev Group’s operations in Lancashire have steadily grown through various acquisitions.These include Burnley-based Burnley & Pendle, Blackburn Transport, Accrington Transport and Northern Blue.These were followed by Rossendale Transport Limited, which was sold by Rossendale Borough Council to Transdev in January 2018.Locations featured include Burnley, Colne, Accrington, Blackburn and Bury.Transdev’s policy of retaining distinct identities and liveries for their subsidiaries results in an interesting variety of company liveries and attractive route branding on some vehicles.
