Product Description

Beetroot 'Boston' produces round, deep-red roots with smooth skins, excellent colour and a delicious earthy flavour. An improved form of 'Boltardy', it is slow to bolt and ideal for early cropping. Sow outdoors March-July, 2.5 cm (1 in) deep in rows 30 cm (12 in) apart, keep soil moist and thin to 5 cm (2 in) apart. Harvest June-October. Suitable for pots, patios, raised beds and vegetable plots; prefers full sun and neutral to alkaline soil. Water regularly in dry spells to reduce bolting.
