This half-day guided tour to Izmir beginswith the 4th century Castle of Alexander the Great built on PagosHill overlooking the city. Nearby, is the well preserved Roman market place,the Agora. This has become the Agora Open-Air Museum of Izmir holding manyhistorical artifacts. The symbol of Izmir is a beautifully carved marble ClockTower which stands in the centre of Konak Square. It has four fountains roundit and is about 113 years old. You will then be taken round the bay toKarsiyaka, a residential area before crossing the bay by ferry boat to seeKemeralti, the old Bazaar built by the Ottomans.
