The adaptor simply plugs in-between the dash and the vehicles wiring loom. How to determine if your car requires the harness adaptor2004-2007 - Cars with white instrument dials and fitted with an airbag (USA) require a harness adaptor2004-2007 - Cars with white instrument dials and not fitted with an airbag (UK and Rest of World) require a harness adaptor.2008 onwards Cars with black instrument dials (UK, Rest of World inc USA) - Do not need a harness adaptor.
