It is also backwards compatible with earlier versions of the HDMI Specification and can be used with existing HDMI devices. There are also are number of chipset bugs in HDMI 2.1 equipment causing problems at high refresh rates. If you have high refresh rate problems we recommend using a fibre optic hdmi cable.
