Marshalls Garden Cabbage 'Stelvio' produces compact, firm, sweet-tasting heads that are dense, tender and full of flavour. The variety is fast-maturing and reliable, reaching about 300 mm in height, and suits smaller gardens as well as beds, borders and allotments. Easy to grow from seed in full sun, it prefers fertile, well-drained soil and is typically sown February to May for harvesting in September to October. Versatile in the kitchen, Stelvio is excellent steamed, stir-fried or used raw in salads.
