Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it an hour before service. Château Buera is a family-run winery founded by Goga Maisuradze, also owner of the Lopota Spa Resort, to promote the region's tourism and winemaking development. Viticulture here has ancient roots, and Château Buera cultivates 5 hectares of vineyards to produce first-class wines from indigenous, even rare, varieties. Their approach is minimally interventionist, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, and traditional Georgian techniques are combined with the most innovative technologies. Produced in limited quantities (less than 2,000 bottles), Kisi Qvevri Reserve is an amber-colored wine made from hand-picked grapes sourced from the estate's vineyards. After traditional vinification in Georgian qvevri clay amphorae, with maceration on the skins, the finished wine ages for one year in barrel and one year in bottle. The result is an elegant and aromatic wine that reveals a broad and delicate bouquet of stone fruit and ripe oranges, mango, dried fruit, and tea leaves on the nose. On the palate, it is rich and complex, rounded and velvety. It has well-balanced acidity and a long, intense, and gently spicy finish. It pairs deliciously with chicken and shrimp curries, falafel, and salmon with tahini sauce.
