Blavier 2003 / Version Francaise

70cl / 55% - Named after a rare still, composed of three pots and two column stills, Blavier was made in French whisky’s nascent period. This single malt was matured in an ex-red wine cask from Jura, In eastern France. There are sherry-like notes of raisin, walnut and baked bread, leading to dark jammy berries, dried fig and hints of minerality on the finish.
