Considered one of the most interesting and promising Slovak wineries, Zlaty Roh was established in 2014 in Devin, with the deforestation of the old vineyards and the replanting of the new ones. Today, the company produces organic wines from its vineyards located on the southwestern slopes of the Little Carpathians and close to the confluence of the Danube and Moravia rivers. Here the vine plants have found particularly favorable soil and climatic conditions which guarantee the production of excellent quality wines. Zlaty Roh Veltlinske Zelene is a 100% organic Gruner Veltliner, whose grapes are selected and harvested from the company's vineyards not far from the Burgenland region of Austria. It is a wine with a strong character, that is a pure expression of the grape variety and terroir of origin. Its color is deep golden with dark tones. The aromatic profile is intense and well-defined with notes of yellow exotic fruit, citrus fruits, aromatic herbs, and delicate spicy hints. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, crisp and juicy, with a marked acidity typical of this grape variety. It is the ideal wine for many vegetarian and vegan recipes, including risotto with asparagus, fried artichokes, Brussel sprouts and spinach tarts.
