Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in Barolo, Piedmont, the Damilano winery boasts over a century of history. Giuseppe Borgogno laid the foundations in 1890, followed by his son-in-law Giacomo Damilano, who founded the Damilano label in the 1930s. Today, the company is led by Borgogno's great-grandchildren, who manage over 50 hectares of vineyards where Nebbiolo is the main protagonist, alongside other indigenous varietals such as Dolcetto and Barbera. Langhe Arneis is one of the few white wines produced by the Damilano winery, with grapes from vineyards located in the area of Vezza d’Alba, on the typical calcareous, clayey, and sandy soils of the Langhe. After harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, and the finished wine ages in stainless steel, preserving its freshness and vivacity. In the glass, the wine reveals a brilliant straw-yellow color and a broad, fragrant aromatic profile with delicate notes of fresh fruit, such as pear, lemon, and white peach, along with floral and herbaceous notes. On the palate, it is dry and crisp, with lively acidity and a touch of savory. It is juicy, elegant, and harmonious, with a long, refreshing finish. Try it with fish and seafood risotto, vegetable omelette, or chicken breast with lemon and herbs.
