ABOUTBrought to London in 1850, Mentzendorff Kummel has been distilled since 1985 true to the original recipe by Combier Distillery in the Loire Valley in their world famous stills designed by Gustave Eiffel, of Eiffel Tower fame. Upon its arrival in London, this clear, aniseed liqueur flavoured with caraway seeds made its mark on the British palate. Today, it is held in high regard by golf clubs who offer post-round doses of “putting mixture”, and with bartenders who appreciate its complex and stimulating flavour for cocktail experimentation.. TASTING NOTESA nod to the company’s heritage, with powerful, lifted aromas of aniseed, liquorice and cumin. The sweet liqueur has great complexity on the nose, with caraway spice and herbal aromas, alongside a touch of petrol and nut oil.
