Henstone Distillery Ex-Peated Cask Single Malt Whisky, 70cl

Henstone Ex-Peated whisky has been aged for 3 years in ex-Jim Beam (bourbon) casks and then transferred to a 125 litre ex-peated quarter cask for finishing. This is the second release of Ex-Peated and is finished in the Islay cask for just under 1 year. The resulting whisky has picked up the traditional peaty characteristics of Islay whisky but not in an overpowering way, this really compliments the spirit. This expression has not been chill filtered or coloured.. Bottled at 46%, there are only 107 x 70cl bottles in this entire batch!. Henstone Distillery is an English distillery that makes whisky, gin, vodka, apple brandy, and a corn liquor. It was established in Shropshire in 2017. The spirits are made in a 1,000 litre still named Hilda.
