Located in the Serbian village of Erdevik, among the rolling hills of Fruska Gora, the Erdevik winery owns about 60 hectares of vineyards distributed between the localities of Breskvik (on the 45th parallel, like the prestigious wine regions of Bordeaux and Piedmont) and Gvozdenjak. In this area, which boasts an ancient winemaking tradition dating back to Roman times, the company makes award-winning wines from international grape varieties. Roza Nostra is a lively blend of Merlot and Shiraz grapes sourced from the estate vineyards in Fruska Gora. After manual selection harvesting, and vinification, the finished wine rests in steel to preserve its natural freshness and fragrant character. In the glass, this high-quality rosé reveals a bright salmon-pink color. Its aromatic profile is fresh, broad, and energetic with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and ripe citrus fruit, cherry, and peach on a mineral background. On the palate, it has a medium body and vibrant acidity. It is refreshing, lean, and balanced with a mineral vein that lingers on the persistent finish. It makes an excellent aperitif and it is very versatile with food. It pairs well with white fish, Mediterranean salads, seafood, vegetarian pies, and poultry.
