Tamosi Wiwakalaymay 2006 Rum / 17 Year Old / Long Pond

70cl / 68.1% - Tamosi is a range of rums that highlight pre-colonial stories from the Caribbean. ‘Wiwakalaymay’ can be translated as ‘light from the stars’, this name was given to the first chief of the Eagle Clan Lokono-Arawaks in the 1500’s. This single cask rum was distilled in 2006 at the Long Pond distillery in Jamaica and matured for an initial 14 years in a heavily-charred bourbon cask before being moved to Europe for an additional three years of aging.
