Product Description

This unique Awamori is a true rarity, miraculously fermented using a strain of black koji mold that survived the fires of war, carefully preserved at Tokyo University. This mold has lived on through the decades, allowing us to craft a one-of-a-kind spirit. The delicate, plum-like fragrance and smoothness of this Awamori are the result of a distinctive low-temperature fermentation process and a special method of ventilated koji-making. It is best served on the rocks, with soda, or as a cocktail base. Store in a dry and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight. This Awamori is produced by Zuisen Shuzo, a brewery based in Okinawa prefecture, and has an ABV of 30%. It is made from water, rice, koji, and yeast.
