Shirayuri inui 44 is a special type of Awamori from Ishigaki Island, crafted using an old and rare method with black koji mold. This traditional technique brings out a distinctively deep and unique flavor. The use of coarse filtration also preserves the taste of the koji and the rich aroma. Recommended for those who enjoy strong and punchy drinks. It has gained international recognition, winning top awards at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It received the highest honors in the Awamori category with a Double Gold and was named Best of Class. It is best served neat, on the rocks, or with soda. Store in a dry and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight. Made by Ikehara Shuzo in Okinawa prefecture, it is made from water, rice, koji, and yeast.
