Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. Remelluri is a prestigious winery located in Labastida, in Rioja Alavesa, and owned by the Rodríguez family since 1967. The company's vineyards, cultivated organically, extend over 100 hectares of vineyards divided into approximately 150 plots which are all vinified separately. The vineyards can enjoy an ideal position in terraced amphitheaters facing south, at altitudes between 590 and 805 meters, protected from the winds and frost of the north. The Rioja Reserva from the Remelluri winery is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano with the addition of two white grapes such as Viura and Malvasía, which add elegance and balance. The grapes are harvested manually in vineyards cultivated according to the organic regime. In the cellar, fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in a mixture of steel and oak. The finished wine is then aged in barrels for 21 months. The wine has a bright and intense color with cherry red tones. Its aromatic profile reveals notes of wild strawberries, aromatic herbs, and spices. On the palate it has a medium-full body, it is broad, smooth, and elegant. The finish is long and tasty. Try it with tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms or rabbit with herbs.
