This lightly peated spirit has been bottled at a higher strength than the previous release at 47.7% and was matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and STR casks, as well as having a higher proportion of American oak.. The casks were chosen from the upper storage area of the distillery where warmer temperatures provide greater variation in wood flavours from the casks.. 100% natural colour. Non-chill filtered.. Nose: Tart green apple, creamy vanilla, and toffee notes mix with a touch of cinnamon and a hint of black pepper.. Palate: Rich and nutty with malt, orange peel, custard, burnt toffee, and a delicate touch of bonfire smoke.. Finish: Butterscotch, sandalwood, coffee..
