A delightful single pot still Irish whiskey, Redbreast 12 Year Old is highly praised by critics. Distilled at the Midleton site from malted and unmalted barley, it's then matured in a combination of American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts. The nose is nutty, rich and oily, with notes of dried peels, ginger, linseed and cut fruits including a touch of melon. The palate is spicy with great body, featuring nuts and citrus, hints of marzipan, dried fruits and a hint of sherry. The finish is long and creamy, with custard and spice. This unisex whiskey is made in Ireland, has an ABV of 40% and comes in a 70cl size.
