The Glenlivet XXV 25 Year Old Whisky, 70 cl

Wow- what a terrific nose which instantly grabs your attention. Given that some of the shisky is aged in ex Oloroso casks it'll come as now surprise to you to hear that there's more sweetness at play than you might be used to with Glenlivet. You may or may not agree that the finish also has a distinctly nutty edge to it. Either way, this is a cracker of a whisky. ### Product Description We are now approaching nearly 200 years of being able to sample this most illustrious of Malts, albeit illegally for the first 2 years of its production back in 1824 when the distillery’s founder, George Smith, first started creating his Malt Whisky. He wasn’t alone making the most of their remoteness in creating illicit whisky then, but he was one of the first in Glenlivet to gain a licence following legislation changes in 1826.
