Sheep Dip has its roots in the town of Oldbury, Severn in the West Country of England, where it was first created by a publican as his in-house whisky during the 1970s. The recipe, a blend of 16 Highland and Speyside malt whiskies matured in first-fill barrels, has remained the same almost 50 years later. Despite its reputation as a somewhat traditional spirit, Scotch whisky offers incredible diversity of flavour, with single malts and blends ranging from elegant, floral expressions to rich, fruity and chocolatey drams. A perfect base for cocktails of any kind, but works particularly well in an Old Fashioned or a Highball with ginger ale. The nose is sweet with cereal and toffee popcorn, while the palate is light and spritely with apple pie, sugared almonds and orange zest, finishing with a chilli-spice kick. Available in a 70cl size, this whisky is suitable for both men and women.
