Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve No. 6 English whisky is a stylish English Single Malt Whisky matured in Spanish and American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and red wine. As a result there are plenty of lush red and dried fruit flavours present (raisins, dates), but with more wood spice (incense, dried oak) than previous releases. A great combination.. Cumbria hosts the Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, co-founder of Isle of Arran Distillery. Situated within a renovated farmstead by River Derwent in a national park, they innovate due to limited space, using custom stills for whisky. Whisky master Dhavall Ghandi joined in 2016, infusing tradition with fresh inspiration. The Lakes introduced The Whiskymaker’s Reserve in 2019, a series of single malts.
