Clonakilty Single Batch Double Oak Finish is the flagship of Clonakilty's Cask Finish Series. A premium Irish Whiskey matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is finished in virgin American oak and shaved, toasted, and re-charred ex-red wine European oak casks (NEOC, New Era of Cask). On the nose, soft spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass, and slightly perfumed notes of ripe apple and pear are present. Fresh leather tones are also noticeable. On the palate, warm spices, cubeb pepper, and ginger are balanced by fresh cut grass, hazelnut, and almond notes. The whiskey has a long finish with vanilla sweetness and spices lingering on the palate. Made in South West Ireland, this whiskey is a 43.6% ABV, 5cl unisex spirit.
