JJ Corry The Gael (Batch 2) is a blended Irish whiskey release from County Clare-based blender and bonder JJ Corry. This second batch is made with a blend of 60% malt whiskey and 40% grain whiskey, matured in ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks. The Gael is a vibrant and fruity whiskey, with a fresh and alive nose featuring the scent of Amalfi lemons, toffee apples, acacia honey, and fresh-cut hay. The palate is similarly vibrant, with crunchy green apples, cereal, and lemon posset, while a dusting of lime zest and ground peppercorns adds a tingly spiciness before a long, creamy and lemony finish. Serve neat or over good quality ice on a warm summer's day. The Gael is a unisex whiskey, suitable for both men and women.
