A small proportion of the distillery’s whisky is matured in casks other than ex-bourbon or STR (Shaved, Toasted, Re-charred) such as this one which is matured in New American Oak. This cask type is usually reserved for the maturation of Bourbon (which, by law, must be matured in new American white oak casks), so it’s rare to find the Cotswolds Whisky solely matured in it.
